Liebster Award!

I've been nominated for the Liebster award wooo!
Massive thank you to Alyssa at http://extraordinarilyal.weebly.com for nominating me for this award!

The Liebster Award is a tag that is based on bloggers with under 200 followers to help them get noticed! All that you have to do when you get nominated is answer the 11 questions chosen for you, then nominate another 11 blogs and choose 11 questions to ask them!

My questions from the lovely Alyssa!

1.) Do you prefer fashion blogs or beauty blogs? I'd say I'm more into beauty blogs, but it depends what mood I'm in really! I don't think anything can beat a good blog about make up though!

2.) Who is your biggest inspiration (not necessary fashion or beauty related)? This is a tough one hmmm, I think I might have to say Tanya Burr for her amazing blog/youtube channel and releasing her own range is amazing!

3.) Where is your favorite place to shop? Ermm, I'd probably have to say boots (beauty wise) even though I work at Superdrug and love the discount, I prefer the brands at Boots and am a Benefit junkie! Fashion wise though is 100% Topshop :)

4.) What is your favorite accessory? Either my Casio gold watch, as I wear it everyday! Or my gold chain necklace, just as it goes with soo much and can make any outfit more interesting!

5.) What is your 'go to' outfit? Leggings, jumper, frilly socks and my cut out boots! Always a back up outfit or something I throw on before college!

6.) What is your 'go to' beauty routine? My benefit porefessional, Revlon colourstay foundation, Rimmel stay matte powder, bronzer (any that I feel like using on that day! Love the sleek one at the moment though) Benefit Coralista, Rimmel eyebrow pencil, Rimmel eyeliner and Revlon 3D Volume mascara!

7.) What is your favorite thing about blogging? I loooove looking through people's blogs, I can be reading them for hours on end and think it's been about 10 minutes! I love sharing my experiences with people and making my blog how I like to see others!

8.) What is your style? I wouldn't really say I have a style, I go through stages of liking something and wearing a similar 'style' and then a few months later it will change again and I will look back and wonder why I ever wore what I did!

9.) Is there a celebrity your admire the most? Tom Fletcher (from Mcfly!) I have loved Mcfly since I was like, what 8/9?! I've always had a massive crush on him and don't think it will ever end!

10.) What type of music do you like? A bit of everything really, the songs on my phone vary so much, it depends what mood I'm in really and what I'm doing as to what I listen to.

11.) Any advice for new bloggers out there? Im a new blogger myself, but I'd just say make your blog like how you would like to read it, think about what you like seeing on other peoples blogs :) and just be honest and yourself!

Arty farty

All I seem to be doing at the moment is drawing! (Exciting Saturday night...) I've got to have 50 drawings done by the 10th for College *sigh* so much work! But I thought seeing as art is going to take up so much of my time, I would start sharing some of it with you guys!

P.S this was a quick 10 minute sketch!

Would you guys like to see me start putting some drawings up?

REVIEW: 'Gimme Brow' brow gel

Hello everyone!
My 'Gimme Brow' has finally arrived woooo! I ordered it from QVC for £14, as it is not available in the UK until March. Although I think £14 is a bit pricey for a brow product, I couldn't resist buying it and trying it out as I have longed to find a product for my brows that I love! (And I also can't resist Benefit and their lovely packaging). It is described by Benefit as a 'brow-volumizing fibergel' which is basically a mascara for your eyebrows to keep them in place and lengthen and thicken any existing hair. (I got it in medium deep).

(This is what the actual product looks like)
I have always been an eyebrow pencil lover, having over plucked in the past I knew that using a pencil would cover any bald patches I had but I was really eager to try a new and quicker product!

first impression: The tube was a lot smaller than I was expecting it to be, although I do think that it will last a long time as so little is needed. However, it is a good handbag size and Benefit have yet again succeeded with beautiful and quirky packaging!

My brow before (over plucked, quite fair and just not nice!)

My brow after application

Firstly I just want to say that photos do not do this product any justice! Application takes no longer than 5 seconds, first you brush it against the hairs and then back again in the direction you want!
PROS:
  • The hair literally just appears, as if by magic! It nearly doubled the length of my eyebrow hairs, well from what's there!
  • It's natural looking, unlike pencils which sometimes I feel look too much.
  • It has held my brows in place and lasted all day!
  • It's good for those who don't have much hair there as it adheres to the skin to give the appearance of having hair there.
CONS:
  • It does cling on to every hair so you will have to be all neat and waxed/tweezed otherwise your brows wont have much shape!
  • It is over priced for a brow product.
  • If you like very full eyebrows, you will probably want to fill in some bits with a pencil/shadow still and add more defined shape.
Overall I am really pleased with this product, especially as it is the first of it's kind!
I would definitely recommend it :)
You can buy it here on QVC, other than that to purchase in the UK it's a bit of a wait!

Thanks for reading!
